on the daily

Every morning I wake up at 6:20 a.m. I roll over, stack my pillows one on top of the other, and pull my phone off the charger. I spend the next half hour... give or take 10 minutes, reading blogs and viewing other forms of social media. I haven't decided if this is a bad way to spend my morning and maybe I should just sleep the extra half hour?

At around 7, I get ready for the day. Same routine, every time. I usually don't have time to do my hair. Story of my life.

At around 7:30, I leave for school. Unless it's today, when I don't leave for school until 7:45 because it's Friday and I do what I want.

I spend the rest of my day wrangling fourth graders, and trying to get them to listen to me. That job alone is exhausting. I have confiscated so many notes already this year, I can hardly believe it. They aren't even good notes either. They're like, "Are you still my friend?" and that's it. Which isn't surprising either. I spend a lot of my day hearing about friend drama.

When school ends, I usually have a lot of stuff to do to get ready for the next day. And every other day, I spend time at After School Club because I got myself a second job being in charge of the whole thing. What was I thinking, you ask? I don't really know. I think the words "extra money" popped into my head though.

And then it's the best time of my day... time to hang out with my awesome husband Alex whom I love so much. More than all the stars in the sky and the grass on the ground and the sand on the beach and the water in the ocean and the trees in the rainforest. More than the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches he painstakingly makes me in the mornings. More than life itself, if we're going to be all mushy gushy.

So if you've wondered why I haven't been blogging (you probably haven't noticed) that's why.
