I was terrified

I know I missed yesterday, but who wants unsolicited advice from me anyway? Ok. Everyone, right? Here it is - TRUST YOURSELF. You are right. Your feelings are justified. Trust in it.

Now for today's blogtember post I will talk about a time that I was very afraid.

I was with these girls. We were in England. (England! I know. I keep talking about it. It happened and it was a big deal in my life.) we had come back from some English adventure or other, and had fallen deep asleep. I was on the floor on an air mattress, and the other two were together on the queen bed. The air mattress was slowly deflating throughout the night, which for some reason made this event even scarier for me.

Abi, the sister on the right, has a history of sleepwalking/talking/screaming... You name it. So imagine this, you're sleeping peacefully, only to be awakened by a bloodcurdling scream. Your eyes fly open, and you can't see anything. ANYTHING. The room is pitch black and there is screaming and flailing up on the bed. So, I started screaming, and then Olivia started screaming, and nobody knew what was happening because it was so dark, and I swear to you that must be what Hell feels like. (Dramatic? I think not.) finally I had the wherewithal to yell, "what is going on?!" And Abi yelled, "there's a spider!!" After which I knew it was her dream, and nothing was happening and then my grandma, aunt, and mom burst into the room.

I burst into tears.

It was kind of pathetic, but I was traumatized. So we all snuggled on the bed together and watched Miranda Sings videos until we were calm enough to sleep again.

So, I don't know guys. But that was the most scared I have EVER been. And it was all in our heads? Weird.

P.s. I'm in Washington right now for my grandma's funeral, so sorry if I miss some days. I'll be back up and running for this blogtember thing in no time! a.k.a. Monday or Tuesday.

  2. I'm reminded of something the wise Albus Dumbledore once said...

"Tell me one last thing,"” said Harry. "“Is this real? Or has this been happening inside my head?"”
"“Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?”"

So I don't think it's silly at all that something that was only happening in your head was the scariest moment of your life, because that's the one place you can't escape, and when you're not in control of a situation in your own mind, that's truly terrifying.

SO YOUR THOUGHTS ARE LEGITIMATE is what I'm saying.

    1. Thank you, Marie! Trust Dumbledore to know what's up. It was definitely legitimate :)
