the one you've all been waiting for...

So, I get that it's January 27, and we kind of talked about this happening like a month or so ago. But I couldn't decide what the right timing would be to release such a sappy romantic segment of film! I thought perhaps I would wait until Valentine's day or something. However, the more I thought about it, the more I just wanted to share it, and didn't care anymore.

The Wedding Video.

To be honest, this was one of the most stressful parts of planning a wedding for me. I knew I wanted my day to be on film. I didn't even care if it was just a family member with a handheld camera! I just wanted it. Film can capture so many moments that are left out in the pictures. I want to be able to remember every detail of my day! We finally settled on not dishing out thousands of dollars for the video, and a family friend was just the kindest ever and said he would do it for us. He's done others, so I trusted him completely!

The video you are about to watch is just a small portion of our day, walking outside the temple and taking pictures. I don't even have the rest of the video yet, but I am so excited for when I do! He captured every moment of the day, from outside the temple, the speeches at the luncheon, to all the details and guests at the reception. I can't wait to be able to watch that and look back on all the fun we had. Because he's been so busy with other projects, he decided to surprise Alex and I with a kind of teaser video of us just at the temple.

It's a lot of kissing, guys. Like, A LOT. So if you're queasy about PDA, just take a hike over to your next favorite blog, mmmkay? (Just keep in mind that Alex and I are not normally all over each other in front of other people. We are mostly posing for pictures. Although at one point, our beloved camera man said, "Keep kissing! I'll walk around you in a circle!" So, you know, stay tuned for that part.)

I hope you enjoy! Let this be a good start to your week :)

p.s. did you have a wedding video? or if you aren't married, what kind of wedding video would you want?

  1. Awww, this is so sweet! I love when you guys come out of the temple, it's such a tender moment.

(As you probably know since you liked my instagram picture,) I just got engaged and I definitely want some kind of video of my wedding day. I'm not sure who or how, though, because I know it's super expensive to hire someone professional, haha. But I totally agree that videos can capture memories and allow you to relive them so much better than photos can.

  3. Love this! I get so depressed watching these videos though, because I don't have any footage from my wedding day. I just completely forgot to think about that until like right after my wedding. I was like WHY DIDNT I THINK OF THAT. Sad..... oh well. We have pictures and that helps :)
