You know what? Blogging has definitely taken a back seat in my life. It's true. I'm sorry. And I'm also not sorry.
It's not technically my fault. I started a book series.
Anyone who knows me well, knows that once I start a book, it doesn't leave my hands. (Unless I have to go to work, which has been the case of the past couple days.)
So yes, I started reading Divergent. Honestly... It's not the most well written piece of literature I've ever read. Or the most challenging. It's not particularly keeping me on the edge of my seat (I'm predicting pretty much everything...), but the story is at least entertaining enough to keep me reading. I read the first book on Saturday, and finished the second book yesterday.
The first was better than the second, I have to say.
Anyway...enough about that! Life is so good lately, peeps. I'm enjoying every second of it. I'm especially enjoying the parts where the sun comes out for a day and is like, "come! come to me! feed the ducks and enjoy much merry making!" and I'm like, yes! good plan! And then the next day it's windy and rainy...
It's March. I'm not complaining. I actually really do love it in a weird twisted sort of way.
But it's definitely getting to that point in the year where I'm starting to get really antsy for the dog days of summer if you know what I mean.
And with that, I leave you with a senior pic of yours truly. (aka taken by my husband the other day at an odd angle.)
p.s. have you read Divergent? What did you think?
Cute! Ya this weather is making walking to school a nightmare. Lol
ReplyDeleteI finished Divergent last week and had the same problem, it was intriguing enough to make me not want to put the book down. I just bought the other two books and I plan to start reading them in the next day or so because I haven't stopped thinking about wanting to read the other two since I finished Divergent. Glad to know I'm not the only one! haha
ReplyDeleteI just started reading Divergent too. I feel the same. Haven't been able to put it down . . . but it is super predictable and the writing almost feels stale to me. Then again, I guess it's a teen fiction book so I can't be too harsh on it. Super entertaining but not groundbreaking.
