Well, this is my 200th post, and I can't believe you are all still reading my random thoughts. It turns out "ten relatively unknown facts about Madeline, please!" won by one vote! Thank goodness, because I was getting really nervous about not being cryptic for one month. I mean, I'm not even that cryptic... so how was I supposed to change it up? ha ha. Anyway, without further ado, here are ten relatively unknown facts about yours truly. Just ten steps closer to understanding the real me...
1. I used to sing in the shower. Loudly. Then my family commented on it, and I was embarrassed into silence.
2. I don't like drawing attention to myself.
3. I'm not very good at picking up hints... if you want something from me, you'd better be clear about it.
4. I sucked my thumb until well into elementary school. One day I decided to stop, so I slept with my hand under my pillow. I can't sleep without my hand under my pillow now.
5. I was really shy growing up. One day in high school I realized I wasn't having any fun, so I started talking.
6. One of my most favorite books is Ella Enchanted.
7. At the beginning of each school year, I make a calendar in my notebook counting down how many days are left.
8. My Jr. high teachers predicted I would fail out of math in high school. I actually got all A's.
9. I never win anything. My proudest moment was winning first place at the district level in the science fair in fourth grade. Then one time I caught a T-shirt at a school event... that was cool too.
10. I had this best friend named Jill... and we wrote a spoof of Harry Potter. I have all five scripts in my drawer at home. And they still make me laugh out loud.
p.s. i think everything will work out just fine with my schooling :) Thank goodness for great advisors!
Psh...what kind of jr. high teachers were they, anyway?
