You know what? I analyze people. There, I said it. I didn't realize it was such a huge thing in my life until recently, but I am CONSTANTLY pondering people and the things they do and why they might be doing them. I guess this observation of life doesn't exactly stop at people. I notice everything. I'm really starting to think my senses will soon overload.
It's just that life is so fascinating to me... it's more than that, it's the decisions that make life what it is. That each of us are on this different path, and because of something that happened a while ago, or a decision we made, we are who we are today. I can look at people and say, why would she be doing that? Why would he say that? And the best part is, there is always an explanation. Some background story.
And I think maybe the worst part is that I'm usually right... I mean, not to toot my own horn or anything. But if you take the time to get to know someone, observe their habits and reactions, you can figure almost anybody out. I guess that's the trick, right? Taking the time. Actually caring.
Because here's what I have noticed the most. The people we find most annoying or frustrating in our lives, are the ones that we should be taking the time to figure out. Why do they do the things they do? And once you care enough to figure it out, the more you care about the person individually, and the less they will annoy you.
I don't really know where I'm going with this post... but the main thing is, I think we should care about people more. I think we should spend more time caring about them than complaining about them. I think we should think less about what people do to us, and more about what we do to others. Everyone has a story, and everyone's story is worth reading.
p.s. there is something about this weekend that is really just screaming my name right now.
me too.
