So, alright. I have decided the time has come to put up some wedding pictures on my blog! Although, many of you have probably seen some of them on facebook... assuming there are people out there who haven't facebook stalked me, this will be fun! Right? Right. First, let me tell you, there are literally 700 pictures to sort through, each one as beautiful as the last, so this is why it has taken so long. I would also like you to be aware that these pictures were taken by Lindsey from Green Apple Photography, and she was a thrill to work with! I would recommend her to anyone.
For a little background to the day - so we can get all hyped up and ready to view these masterpieces - I slept maybe three hours the night before. So when I had to go get my make-up done at 5:00 in the morning, I was ready to go! And when my hairstylist showed up at my house to do my hair, I was getting really excited. It's a pretty surreal feeling, the whole Getting Married thing. I let these people pamper me, and the whole time I'm thinking "so... in a couple hours I'm going into the temple to be sealed to this kid for THE REST OF MY LIFE AND BEYOND..." but the best part was not feeling nervous at all. I was so ready for this, and I knew (and still know!) that I was making the right decision. So, without further ado... I got in the car with my family, and we drove to the temple to meet up with my future husband! Getting sealed was by far the best part of the day. It is such a sweet and peaceful feeling to know that I will be with Alex forever.
And now... I eventually had to come out of the temple, and that is where we took pictures!! (sorry for the picture overload. I promise I was actually way selective.)
^^^ The only thing I told the lady who made my bouquet was that I wanted it to be very colorful. I didn't want one color to stick out more than the others, I just wanted it to be crazy with color! I think she handled the task quite well, don't you?
^^^ Some of my dearest friends. I was so happy to have them there with me, celebrating the special day.
^^^ My sisters and brother.
^^^ Alex's sisters and brothers.
^^^ Thank you to everyone who came to support us! We were so overwhelmed by your love!
Ok, now I need you all to take a deep breath before you look at the next pictures, because you're going to need some oxygen if you're anything like me. Seriously these take my breath away every time, and I wish I was exaggerating... but I'm not. My heart is beating extra fast as I type these very words! All I wanted, I mean ALL I WANTED, you can ask anyone, was blossoms to be there on my wedding day. Blossoms and tulips. And as my luck would have it, I picked the perfect weekend to get married. The next weekend, they were gone, and the weekend before that, they were gone. May 4 was the perfect day. Now, take your deep breaths and proceed to gaze upon me dying of happiness under a canopy of blossoms.
p.s. next up - reception time!

And here's one more picture for good measure. Alex with his friends... and an old man who decided to take his sweet time wandering by.

Oh I just loved your wedding! Being at your sealing was so incredibly special :)
ReplyDeleteLove ya gurrrrl
These are so beautiful, dear Madeline!
ReplyDeleteThe picture of you and your hubby sitting on the bench is so gorgeous that it makes me want to do my wedding day all over again just so I can get ONE awesome picture like that! I just happened upon your blog today, and I think you are lovely in every way. :)
ReplyDeleteThese photos are so perfect! The weather for our wedding was... A little less than ideal (can you say 95 degrees?), but in the end it was a perfect day for us, too.
