the difference between serious and joking

I love my friends.
I cannot wait to spend all weekend with them.
It has been far too long since we've all be in the same place!
And today is the day.
Today I get to see them all again.
You guys, seriously. Have you ever had a group of people you just wanted to be with all the time? I'm telling you. I have the best friends ever. Don't believe me? Feel free to join us. I'll show you how it is.

Tonight we're having a camp-out for Jenna's "Graduation Party" - She graduated last year... don't ask me.

And on Saturday we're having a birthday party for Haley at Utah's pride and joy theme park, Lagoon! (It really was her birthday quite recently...)

And I could be really excited because one of these people in the pictures above will be sitting next to me on all the rides - scary or otherwise - but... who wants to know? ;)

p.s. what are your weekend plans?

nothing at all

Yesterday was a special day in history. It was the day that my gem of a best friend Carli Bahm was born into this world. And since I have a habit of talking about my friends on this blog, dedicating posts especially to them... I think it's Carli's turn.

this is Carli.

Carli Bahm is really great. She's a super friend to have around, because she always knows what's up. I love talking to her, because she doesn't expect me to be perfect all the time, and she gets it when I'm feeling down about something. Carli is probably the funniest person you'll ever meet. I don't know how she does it, but she says the craziest things sometimes, and makes everyone want to be her friend. She's really thoughtful also. I can think of many times we were together and she mentioned that so-and-so was having a hard time, and maybe we should bring them a treat. When people text her using a lot of acronyms and abbreviations, she feels like throwing up. So, naturally, a lot of our conversations are written solely in acronyms and abbreviations.

Crli, u r so gr8, i cnt w8 2 see u l8tr 2dy. So xctd. brng lts of bbs. <3

p.s. let's watch adventure time someday??

try to never grow up

Ok, since I know you have all been waiting for it, here is a description of my TWENTY-FIRST BIRTHDAY!! Woo! (excited dance!)

So, it started on Wednesday, April 6, when I drove home to celebrate with my family. Lucky for me I didn't have school! My mom came home from work early and we spent a day out on the town.
Lunch at Kneaders. What a lovely experience.
Then we went shopping all day. Which was fabulous.
After we got back from shop shop shopping away, we met the rest of the family at Pat's BBQ in Salt Lake. I'd never been there before, but my dad told me good things about it, and I LOVE BBQ, and I love trying new things. So it was a win win situation.
oh, just me and Abi

Both of my lovely sisters. And the famous guy who also enjoys Pat's BBQ.

I love my family. And when did my brother get so tall??
After that, we went home and I opened some great presents, and we had a fabulous birthday treat! Which was not cake... because I always feel like changing it up.
yay! I got what I wanted!

this was my fancy treat idea
The next morning I drove to the Drivers License place, and waited for an hour to renew mine. My picture better be good...
On Saturday I got together with a group of some of my best friends, and we all drove to Lava Hot Springs! We ate dinner at this super classy place called The Chuckwagon... and I don't mean to be sarcastic, it's actually really fun, and the food is pretty good. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and fries. What? I'm 21 now. I can eat what I want. After that we went to the Hot Springs, and I had a blast talking and laughing with everybody. Happy Birthday to me!

p.s. not to brag or anything, but my friend Stacia wrote a really great birthday post, just for me! Check it out.

all my life i've been good

Alrighty, 21st birthday is a success so far! But the celebration isn't over yet.
Here's a teaser of what's happened to keep you happy.
Stay tuned.
spoiled? yes.
Some amazing food was eaten, and some major shopping was done... Love it.

p.s. who told the driver's license division it was ok to hold people in line for an hour?
