the most exciting news of the day

this is just a picture of me with three of my favorite people.
hey everyone, guess what i just realized? i'm almost to my THREE HUNDREDTH post! this is the most exciting news of my day so far. i'll let you know if my day gets any more exciting. anyway, if you've been reading for a while, you know i always do a little something for my followers when i reach a milestone. so this time, if you could just move your mouse over to the poll on the right side of your screen... should be about.... there, you got it! pick the one you want me to write about the most, and i promise that my 300th post will be written just the way you want it. choose wisely, this is pretty much the most important decision of your life. (besides who you're going to marry, where you are going to school, what you're going to eat for breakfast, if you're going to follow my blog (the answer is yes to that one)... etc.)

anyway, i look forward to seeing what you choose!!

p.s. listening to The Shins on a rainy Saturday morning, what could be better?

turning tables

Tomorrow I start work at my OTHER job. The one where I'm usually bored, and have more than enough time to write to you all. I need to have a good attitude about it, ok? This week will be terrible if I am in a bad mood the whole time. I need to forget about the happiness of EFY... where it's ok to dance whenever you want, and sing, and act like a complete dork... and be happy with my normal everyday office job. That won't be hard, right? ha.

My favorite thing about the office job is that I get to work with my mom. Have I ever told you that? My uncle owns the business, and my mom manages the employees. It's really great working with her, because she's kinda my best friend... but it gets a little sketch when she tries to boss me around. I'm working on it... don't judge.

Anyway, here's to coming back to real life and loving it. More time with friends and family is always a plus. And... I have a couple fun excursions coming up this weekend and next week that I am ecstatic to tell you about. So cross your fingers this week goes fast!

oh, just laughing at a story about my friend haley. have a fun filled week!

p.s. if you could have any talent, what would it be? mine would be dancing... or playing an instrument.

just me before we met

I'm back.
And this time, I mean for real.
It's over, folks. The most wonderful summer in the world is coming to a close.
EFY has come to an end, and it is a melancholy time in my life.
Half of me is overjoyed, ecstatic, leaping to be back to my own world.
The other half is curling up slowly with sadness, because such a good thing has ended.
But really, I think the excited part will win out.
There is so much in my life to be excited for.
Did I tell you I'm going to Disneyland in a week?
Did I tell you I'm moving back to Logan in three?
Did I tell you anything?
I think not.
I haven't been around for a few months.
I'll tell you everything now.
I'm back.

p.s. stay tuned for lightning storms and country dancing.

a little bit stronger

Interesting fact about me:

Sometimes I get feelings about things. Or I'll have a little thought, and I just know what is going to happen. For instance, every time a boy is going to kiss me, I wake up that morning with the thought, "he is going to kiss me today". And one time, my friend Kamille was very worried about what score she was going to get on her test, and the thought popped into my head, "84". So I told Kamille not to worry because she was going to get an 84%. Lo and behold... what score did Kamille get? You got it.

And last night, when I was sitting on the couch, laughing with friends about milk analogies, I just had a thought.

And, as usual, I was right.

But you know, it's ok. I can't help but be excited for the future! Who knows what will happen this summer? I have a feeling it's going to be good.

There's just something about the end that makes me so ready for the beginning...

p.s. remember that time Sean Kingston came to Logan? Uhh...

drops of jupiter in her hair

It's crazy how quickly life changes.
I am constantly reminded that where I was a little while ago is completely different from where I am now!
And this realization brings with it the all consuming excitement for where I will be next week... next month... next year.
And I hope I will be better than I am now.
I hope I will be smarter, more responsible, more loving, more charitable...
Because I keep picturing myself as this person that I want to be.
This great girl who isn't afraid of being herself, who does nice things for people without thinking twice, who gets her homework done on time all the time.
If I keep picturing her, I'll turn into her, right?
So, this post is dedicated to the future me, better and stronger than I am now.
(and hopefully wearing super cute outfits everyday.)

p.s. the other day, i was locked out of my house, and when i tried to go up the stairs to our back door to see if it was open, i tripped and fell down. hard. just one of those pathetic moments where you can't stop laughing at yourself.
