unconditional, unoriginal

Sometimes I take pictures of my shoes. This is because I love them. (Forever 21). And also because I finally got on board with the whole "instagram" app. And I was interested to see what would happen to my amazing tan line on my feet if I edited it up a bit. Well... I'm liking it a lot. How about you?
Continuing on with my lovely Instagrams... I got a jamba today and it was heavenly. I can't tell you what flavor it was though. Because it's a secret flavor. So you'll just have to guess! But. I get it EVERY TIME. Because it's deliciousness is almost more than I can handle. So, if you're lucky enough to know which one it is, I encourage you to treat yourself to one immediately.

And finally, to end this random post. You may have heard me talk about my best friend Haley. We have gone to school together since elementary. Only Haley doesn't remember me from way back when. (I do actually remember her...)  We've talked about it, and we had a ton of classes together. And it turns out we stood next to each other in a Chorus performance in like fifth grade. She's in the middle, I'm on the right with glasses. Funny how this world works, eh? We never knew we'd be roommates eventually...

p.s. is there such a thing as coincidence?

bake n' shake

Hello everyone! Didja miss me? Never fear, I wasn't far away. Simply being the best counselor at EFY imaginable.
Just checking in today to say that this morning I ate something strange.
See, my co-counselor Josh is under the impression that bacon makes everything taste better.
He is obsessed with trying the Bacon Shake at Denny's. (does that really exist? I submit that it does not.)
So we were thinking of other foods to put bacon in/on.
Pasta
Cake
Donuts
Macaroni and Cheese
Jello
Hot Chocolate
Cream pies
Etc.
So this morning, I am happily eating breakfast with my lovely children, and Josh appears with a two bowls.
These bowls were filled with Jello and banana pudding. And both bowls had a lovely sprinkling of bacon on them.
Did I try it?
You bet I did.
Did I throw up?
Almost.

Hope you're having a wonderful week!!

p.s. i am going to miss the people this week SO MUCH.

timing is everything

Today I packed all of my stuff back into my suitcase (not very nicely, I might add), stuffed it in my car, and drove to my grandparent's church. I listened to them speak on their testimonies, and how they love missionary work while sitting next to a little boy I had never met. This is because I got there late. Then I rushed to their house and prepared a bunch of food that I had 15 minutes to eat.

And now I'm in Logan. Working at EFY again. This week I have the honor of being a Building Counselor. This means that I have a group of counselors to work with instead of a group of children. The transition is a hard one for me... If you read my last post, you know how much I love the children. But it's just for this week, and I'm excited to experience something new. Wish me luck!

Oh, and I am sleeping in a teeny tiny dorm room. It's like Harry Potter... but worse because the lights don't really work, and the walls are cement.

p.s. I forgot my pajamas this week. What next?

dreams of july

So I won't bore you with the cliche details of how cold it is here in Logan, and how when I was walking home yesterday in the bitter wind I felt like giving up and laying in a huddled mass underneath a tree - because of course that would be better than sticking it out and getting home in the next two minutes. I also won't bore you with the fact that I now consider sleep a higher priority than anything else. I won't bother to tell you about how much I miss wearing normal clothes everyday - business casual stands for boring clothes. I won't worry you with how much I run out of time and forget to pack a lunch. I won't bother you with the fact that a very nice person surprised me with fruit snacks and granola bars because he knew this about me. I don't really feel like explaining to you how cute and sweet my first graders are. Don't ask me. I don't feel like telling you.
I don't.
srsly. (for carli)

p.s. who's the girl in the pink capri's? It's Courtney! It's Courtneyyyyy!
